You are too kind. Honestly I’m not looking in the mirror much these days (why bother wasting time with that when we are traveling through some of the world’s most amazing scenery??). So sometimes when I do look at myself, I get a little shock. </p> <p>I’m wearing the vest again this morning. The color exactly matches a Champion athletic jacket I got from Target while at the ranch last year in a fit of desperation for a lightweight running jacket. Pic one — literally woke up like this. Hair not even brushed. But the jacket-vest combo is good. </p> <p>Sunny and Woody have been good travel companions. It’s challenging to travel with pets sometimes but they’ve done really well. Sunny has taken over from Tippi as my “lap dog” although a 70 lb catahoula makes for a bit uncomfortable experience for the lap owner! Pic 2 - Sunny helping me navigate. Pic 3 - Woody snoozing. </p> <p>Pic 4 - our rig in one of our more distinctive dispersed camping locations, near Goblin Valley, Utah. No cell signal but great views and exploring! We have a good setup for dealing with cold nights for a few nights of boondocking (good batteries, a generator, etc), and we had two nights in the wilderness of Utah desert when temps went down to single digits. But we don’t want to get stuck in too much of that. We need to be back in East TX in about 12 days so we are now heading south into NM and making our way from there. After a few days at the ranch, we will head home to the east coast. </p> <p>In the meantime we are searching for a good camping location with WiFi to stay for election night and the night afterward as I have a Zoom event on the 4th (judging a photo competition). So I think we’ll be in Albuquerque or Santa Fe those nights. Then heading towards White Sands. </p> <p>This is the only way we feel comfortable traveling during the pandemic. We are self-contained and staying away from people, for the most part. We wear masks when we go into town or any stores or public facilities. I bought a violet shampoo that is marketed to pull the brassiness from either blondes or grey.
