Yes, I saw the sleep tracking function, which I could use. Some reviewers complained that it stopped working after a couple of months, but it seemed to mostly be guys, who are probably rougher on it in handling. Thanks for the deets!

I've had 2 Fitbits. My first one cracked due to sideways twisting motion (I pushed on the button with sweaty hands at the end of a run and my thumb slipped and kinda torqued it). See picture below. They gave me a replacement. Years later, I accidentally washed it (beware - this happens much more often than them actually breaking). Both times, the company shipped me out a new one FREE. They are awesome with the customer service.
I'd recommend wearing it 'round the clock just so you get a more accurate daily view, but you certainly don't have to. I now use the holster/clip that it comes with, to avoid the twisting motion that did in my first 'bit. If you break the holster/clip, that's an easy replacement plastic piece, rather than breaking the Fitbit itself, is my thinking.
Considering I wear Fitbit day and night (yes, I use it to track my sleep, too) for over 2 1/2 years, I'd say it's held up.

Oh, and I find it very accurate. It does not count 'ghost' stairs, nor do I even get readings while driving, like some do. I'm not sure if it's where they are wearing it that makes the difference. Maybe they toss it in their pockets. Some wear it on their bra (I tried but it won't fit between 32C cups lol). I usually put in on my waist or shirt front as seen in some WIW pics

Hmm, will have to check it out! Meanwhile, I have a question for you! I'm considering the Fitbit thanks to you, but some reviews say it is flimsy and the case/clip is too easy to break. And a couple say they feel it is inaccurate (for example, recording clapping as steps). Have you had those kinds of issues?

Also, do I have to wear it 24/7 for it to be effective, or can I just use it as a pedometer for runs and hikes?
