The DKs are roomier in the legs and I read online that the Paige's are better for plus size women with slimmer legs. My legs aren't slim but I definitely understand where that idea comes from. The Paige jeans run VERY small too (I sized up two sizes compared to my regular jean size, sad). The Paige jeans were also more expensive -- $90 versus DKs for $60. Not a huge difference, I guess. I was wearing my DKs in the Bay Area meet-up pictures for reference (maybe you can suggest which style would be best for Michelle).</p> <p>I probably won't be able to get to a Filene's Basement for the Paige jeans for a few weeks as I'm flying back to California on Saturday.... but my local Nordstrom Rack had a ton of plus size David Kahns when I was at home a few weeks ago. My gut instinct is that they're still there. I also don't think the Paige Premium jeans are going anywhere. But I really like how they fit... very similar to the David Kahns. I was thinking about it last night, while I LOVE my Jag jeans and they are super comfortable, they are definitely not as "premium" as the David Kahns. They start to bag, especially in the knees, as the day wears on. Nonetheless, they're super comfy and look great so they're not going anywhere! I'm pretty sure I'm going to get rid of a lot of my Gap jeans because they're all too short and just not as lovely (all my Gap jeans are from before they redesigned their denim). I know this question came up on the blog on the topic of jeans for curvy bodies so I wanted to share my success!</p> <p>Nordstrom used to exclusively carry Paige Premium Denim in plus sizes but they discontinued the line. I've never been able to find it anywhere... until today!</p> <p>I happened to be near a Filene's Basement today so I decided to browse and I'm glad I did! I found a whole rack of plus size Paige Premium Denim! I was SOOO excited. I grabbed a couple styles to try on and fell in love. Seriously, premium denim feels and looks so much nicer than regular denim... it's amazing.</p> <p>The jeans definitely run super small as I had to size up two sizes (I wonder if this is why they didn't do well at Nordstrom?) Nonetheless, I found a great pair and I'm thrilled. They were still quite expensive but I think it's worth it because I basically live in jeans.</p> <p>So now I have Paige Premium, David Kahn (from Nordstrom Rack), and Jag jeans (from Nordstrom). My Gap jeans just don't fit or look the same to me anymore. I'm a convert!</p> <p>QUITE happy.</p> <p>As a side note, Filene's Basement also had plus size NYDJ and Seven jeans! They didn't have any David Kahns, but last time I was at the Rack they had a few pairs. </p>
