I was catching up on laundry last night and turned a white sweater blue. I put some bleach in the deep laundry room sink, turned on the water and tossed in the sweater. About 30 minutes later, I heard something that sounded like water running...  All over the laundry room floor, seeping into the hallway, drenching the garage ceiling below and doing something really bad to the furnace.
