I like it because it's nice and shiny. You could also use embroidery floss or any kind of thinnish yarn. You don't need very much - I had three 27 yard skeins, one in each color, and there is a good bit of each left over.</p> <p>Oh, and I used a very small crochet hook to get a tight look. I have a set of teeny steel ones for lace making and stuff. The size I used was 1.5 mm. </p> <p>The metal rings were the hardest thing to find. I used something like the left-most rings in this link. Flat and around 1 inch in diameter. They were in the jewelry making section with the beads.
