I actually have this already. It delays blisters and prevents them from being as bad as they could be, but does not prevent them completely. Also, DO NOT use them on the bottom of your feet! You'll slip and slide around and that actually causes more blisters.

When I was in school for aesthetics we used a lot of Gehwol products. I love this one for blisters.

http://www.gehwolonline.com/in.....;itemid=10

You apply it daily and it prevents blisters, chaffing and even aching feet and soreness. You can use it year-round, but I usually just start using it when summer roles around or shortly before. Its great 'cause it absorbs right in and you just use it when you would normally apply moisturizer.

I've used the Dr. Scholls brand for several summers now. It really does help, though I carry one in my purse to reapply every couple of hours if I'm going to be out and about all day. I can't speak to how it compares to similar products, since this is the only brand I've tried.

I have J&J Blister Block... some people swear by it. For me, it only reduces the pain I get form my slightly tight shoe, still gives me red, but at least no blood.

I haven't tried the Dr. Scholls version, but this has been around for ages in several different formulations by different companies. I think the best is Body Glide, which is the original and is generally sold in sporting goods to runners to avoid chafing. You can use it on feet, but also on nips (for men where they get friction burn from shirts while running), and where thighs rub together. It works much better on thighs than feet (although I prefer Monistat Chafing relief powder gel-- try it if your thighs get sweaty and stick in summer, works miracles). If you have a place that rubs just slightly it can sometimes help prevent irritation or a blister, but anything that would cause more than a very mild blister it is worthless for (imo, but I have very fussy feet). Also, if you are going all day in the shoes in question, you will have to reapply several times.

Deb just posted this on a blog post. (Thanks, Deb!). I'm going to try it this Summer. Rub it onto bare skin where there are potential friction points and apparently no blisters.
