Basically, you can put on a white jacket and the whole winter wardrobe is instantly "lightened" into spring -- a pretty neat trick in our climate when we actually have to wear winter weight clothing right into May, a lot of the time...and others are sporting fresh summery looks. This is what is making me consider the jacket. I do have mid-brown hair and don't always feel the need to bookend, so I'll happily wear a white leather jacket with darker footwear, e.g.</p> <p>I mainly wear the "cooler" colour shades because they are more flattering on me. The sales associate told us that it IS the same leather in white and blue jackets, but the dye itself and the way the leather is treated can affect the finish. The white jacket has a very soft "hand." Not as soft as the fawn jacket that Mona tried on yesterday (she would be able to compare very accurately). THAT one (the fawn) is the softest I've felt there. It is just lovely -- but you also get the sense that it would stretch a lot, and quickly. Which is why it would be important to buy it quite snug. </p> <p>The blue jacket that you chose, in constrast, has a much tougher feel to it. I believe that it would soften over time, but it would take more time. I don't think it would feel "wrong" to wear it indoors (and certainly the cut would allow for that). But it would not feel quite as comfortable for the first month, I expect. </p> <p>The white jacket was in between these two. I wore it in the store for 10 or 15 minutes and really did not want to take it off...even though they did not have my correct size, already it felt as if it was conforming to me. </p> <p>I didn't wear the blue jacket as long. But I didn't want to wear it as long.
