It's true that if shorter overall, as might be in P sizing, it would be better. I am 5'6", so a bit shorter.  And as an IT, don't really have a "widest part of my hips" :)  My major concern is looking like a square, which can happen with  horizontal lines if the tops aren't long enough. Anonymous on "For Elizabeth P" https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/for-elizabeth-p#post-1498026 Fri, 29 May 2015 03:38:06 +0000 Anonymous 1498026@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ Hi.  I measured the top for you.  Here are the numbers.   Eileen Fisher Pink Top Size L.  Laying the top flat on the floor, the top measures 31.5 inches from the shoulder seam to the bottom on the right side (facing the sweater).  The top measures 27 inches from the shoulder seam to the bottom on the left side (facing the sweater).   I am 5'9" - 5'10" (depending on the day).  The top falls exactly at the widest part of my hips.  It would probably fall below the widest part of someone's hip is they are a bit shorter.  Again, I want to emphasize that the color and the fabric is magnificent.
