I tend to dress up more than almost anyone else in my office, partly due to my position as a senior manager and partly because I just prefer my dressier pieces. Yet I have the option to wear jeans too so for me it's the best of both worlds. She had lived in my building for six months and was suprised to find out that I was also a resident--she had thought that I was a social worker (there are many people with disabilities in my building, so there are many types of workers coming and going).
