I don't know if we're a totally out kind of fashion culture anymore these days, to be honest, but I do think some things will be thought of as not trendy.

With the move to fluid fits I wonder if arty bagginess will go mainstream at all. I think that form fitting will be out, except for formal business wear and maybe for evening. Once we get to spring and the need for boots is lifted, I think fitted skinnies will be less prevalent.

I don't know if the metallic Birkenstock trend from last year will persist this summer or look old. And the other normcore esque shoes - Tevas etc. I do think that flat shoes in general will still be the dominant shoes. I almost never see anyone in heels anymore unless they're dressed up for an occasion, and heels plus jeans and blazer used to be a popular formula for work in my neck of the woods,

Marsala is the color of the year so I wonder if we'll get a few more dusty autumnal tones this year, maybe some orange.

ETA: and here's what the Washington Post thinks will be In and Out (not all fashion):

http://www.washingtonpost.com/.....-list.html

What is going to be totally out this year? There used to be a column in my newspaper about fashion and forecasts but it s no longer there. Almost everything she stated was going to be out for the coming season was wrong. Most of her"in" things were correct though. I remember last spring she did a bit about slip on sneakers. They were not that big here, but then nothing replaces flip flops in the summer in out beachy area.
