				<description>&#060;p&#062;Our entire family loves to cook, and to eat, and often our holiday pictures are mostly of the food.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Here's a few of mine from the past year.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;1. Lemon meringue pie&#060;br /&#062;
2. Roasting the pie pumpkin for Thanksgiving&#060;br /&#062;
3,4. Rainbow trout stuffed with rice and shrimp&#060;br /&#062;
5. Bibimbap&#060;br /&#062;
6,7,8. Heart healthy breakfasts&#060;br /&#062;
9. August birthday cake chez nous: Angel food cake with whipped cream and local berries&#060;br /&#062;
10. Burrito bowl&#060;br /&#062;
11. The kale I left in the garden over winter flowered, so I sautéed the blossoms in olive oil with garlic, raisins, and pine nuts, the way I do kale. It was wonderful, better than broccoli rabe, much sweeter than kale leaves. So I left some in again this winter.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Runcarla, yeah, I went through a macaron phase! I haven't done it for many months now, but hoping to make a batch soon! Chocolate, pistachio, rose, salted caramel, lavender, chai, etc. It's hard to make them if you're the only one eating them! Cream puffs and eclairs are much easier.&#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Here is today's dinner (#1)!  Chicken paillards over sautéed escarole, recipe from my current favorite cookbook, Sunday Suppers at Lucques by Suzanne Goin. I served this with farro, which is not pictured. &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;#2 is a Chinese meal consisting of homemade potstickers (although I used storebought wrappers), braised beef shank with eggs, and steamed veggies. &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;#3 is a no-knead panettone I made for Christmas, from the Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes book.

&#060;p&#062;Texstyle, your curry sounds yummy!  Monday is curry night in our house with DS#1 doing the honours.  Sometimes we use cauliflower pulsed through the food processor and steamed lightly as an alternative to rice.  &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;GF!  You make macaroons?!&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Sally, zucchinis rock!  I grew mine in pots on the deck (we live on a ravine, and creatures are a problem).  We had zuchinnis all summer and everyone wanted to know what those plants in the pots were.  &#060;/p&#062;

				<description>&#060;p&#062;I mostly love cooking and eating. &#038;nbsp;It is of course high summer here so we have lots of local fruits and veges available. &#038;nbsp;I grow tomatoes, zucchini, lettuce, rocket and herbs....&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I eat everything except I try to avoid too many processed foods (I love crisps though) and I try not to over do sugar. &#038;nbsp;I do eat meat, poultry and seafood, I drink coffee and wine, and I love all fruits and most vegetables. &#038;nbsp;I have come to the conclusion that over thinking diet is not great for me - I am a natural moderate person and while I occasionally have to recalibrate, &#038;nbsp;I would rather relish my food.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Here are a couple of pics.1. &#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Birthday cake for the 12 year old. &#038;nbsp;Lemon yoghurt cake with lemon curd and creme fraiche inside, with a lemon glaze icing.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Tuatua fritters at the beach with some salad on the side. &#038;nbsp;These are sort of like a clam.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Views at the beach - morning and night!&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;My zucchini plant - the best to grow, so rewarding!&#060;/p&#062;

&#060;p&#062;I LOVE to cook, and do a lot of it. We also have lots of dinner parties. Some go to the gym to relax - &#060;b&#062;I cook to relax.&#060;/b&#062; Food is a big deal in our lives, and we absolutely eat carbs. (In fact, Greg and I both come from families that take cooking and food very seriously). But I am also big on nutrition and &#034;Super Food&#034; so what we eat is carefully bought, curated, &#060;i&#062;and all made from scratch. &#060;/i&#062;(I don't eat or cook mammals, or drink alcohol or coffee).&#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
