OMG, Diana! I love mushrooms, and I love polenta! This looks divine. I've copied the recipe. Thank you.

If you’re a fan of mushrooms this is incredible, although very rich. I left out the truffle oil and the chervil.

Dad made me Easter breakfast
A burnt omelette, cut off but was extra burnt according to him
I think I'll cook the halibut tonight that I brought from Seattle

I'm still in soup and chili mode here, and have done my roasted tomato/pepper/onion soup more often than I care to admit. Great way to get in your veg requirement for the day. I've also fallen in love (unfortunately, as it's not a particularly health recipe) with a Jamie Oliver lemon zucchini linguine dish. Very easy, and makes great leftovers too. No pics to share of either, sorry. Your dessert looks lovely! I haven't figured out an Easter dinner menu yet, and fear it will be ham, as usual. I'd really like a vegetarian meal, but may get some resistance on that.

A 10lb turkey gets stretched into 4-5 meals in our household (4 adults). Good value for money! Especially when they are on sale. The first turkey dinner, then a soup, a curry, a pie. If there is an intact cold turkey breast, I can get some nice sandwiches - either cold for packed lunches or with gravy and peas for the diner classic!

Below: #1 making stock with the turkey carcass, #2+3 curry, #4 Apple-cranberry pie, #5+6 lemon poppyseed cake, #7+8 lamb shanks ( my favourite!)
