I wish!
I bought it "on the road" at full price because they do sell out, and it's less than 2 weeks and on sale, and there is a local store, so I may bite the bullet and either price-adjust or see if it's available here.

Ugh, I forgot about the lab coat dilemna. I haven't worn one since, let's just say, a long time. I gave mine to my DD because they had my last name nicely embroidered on the pocket, and she has used them as smocks. They are perfect for an artist/painter.

You really do have a tough decision to make now! I think you should go ahead and get the jacket. On sale it's probably worth it. If you hesitate, they could sell out of your size.

Dottie, thanks for the IRL review. That makes me consider it more strongly, if it is performing well.

Staysfit, it is really funny. I may be in some new work situations and just happened to read fine print policy. My sense is that it is aimed more at the jeans concept, though I cannot be sure, and I wonder if a tailored blazer with otherwise "smart business casual" attire might just read as a blue jacket. I will most likely wear the lab coat still during work hours. But, I'm not out to garner any attention!

It competes for wears just a bit with my J&M "denim herringbone stripe" jacket, but that jacket is more traditional fit and I like the difference in fit of this one for a change, and also, the solid goes with some things that the stripe will not. It's lightweight for summer in a/c so I can see wearing it much as one might wear a knit blazer, to be a bit more polished but comfortable for errands and casual outings, and maybe vacation travel, but then, I will not wear it with blue denim jeans! But it looks good with black (jeans or cotton trousers) and with gray or khaki.
I think I will do my usual try-ons and see. It is a "happier" jacket to put on than the AT jacket, but I will need to see what is realistic for occasions for wear.

Also--great dilemma--it has just gone on sale. Drive me cray.

Denim is only acceptable in certain work places. Happily, I can wear denim any time, but most cannot. If I were in a situation where I had a dress code, I wouldn't wear a jacket from my house to the car and then leave it there with the car in the parking garage. I would want to keep it on or be able to wear it if I felt cold during the day. Could you get enough wear from it on weekends? It sounds as though you like the denim jacket and for that reason alone it could be worth purchasing, unless it is going to sit unused.

I like the idea of taking some time to review a purchase that may be "emotional" and to think more rationally about it - if it's not immediately need. This is something I've practiced often since joining the forum.
I have the denim blazer from WHBM. It is a beautiful blazer which gives a nice hourglass shape. I see it as a classic style that I'll wear for a long time. I don't see it as too casual for work (I work in a medical center). It plays well with my wardrobe because you really can wear it with a variety of bottoms - white, tan, navy, gray, black. It's a great neutral. Like you said, you can definitely swap out the buttons in the future if you'd like.
P.S. It did not transfer any color to my tops or bottoms.

I had put together some good presentation/interview outfits but still appeared to suffer from, what if?--if I needed multiple visits or weather change issues or other concerns, real and imagined.
I was OOT and at AT B&M store so brought home (1) this cotton-blend blazer in stone. I had "little voice" concerns in store--it fit better than most AT jackets on me, but the shoulder pads, while not the super-70's/Dynasty type, are thicker than I think is ideal for me, and it still has a sort of IT shape that is not true to my shape.

Back home, meanwhile I had actually completed some of my events and survived well without said blazer and I re-tried it and found it not an improvement on what I had, including (2) the pearl gray silk RL, (3) gray tropical wool BR, and a cotton-blend blue-striped Johnson & Murphy blazer (not shown). So with the benefit of home mirror test and a clearer head, I could see it was FOMO, being in-store, get it while I can, neutral color and yet not a "10". So am sending it back!

I toss that out there for others who may have that bring-it home, what if I need this tendency and need to "shake it off"!

Howsomeever, I also picked up (4) this WHBM denim-look blazer. Its fit is really nice, as it's a kind of bottom-button double breasted so it works unbuttoned and buttoned, and it has a bit of waist fit and hip flare which work for me, and the medium color is good (not too draining dark or too washout pale). Drawbacks and points to ponder are:
--though it's a tencil, so not a rugged denim, it reads as denim and so might be against a future dress code in strict sense--so could I wear it to and from the parking lot or will it be confined to non-work?
--it can look more trendy, so will it be "out" in one year"?
--it has the trademark WHBM bright silver buttons which I do not especially like, though the tapered angle of them is flattering. I could swap these out myself for something like pewter-look, especially if that would help it look better.
--one review said the dye transferred to light clothing--I have not tried to test this out and of course would be horrified if it did that. Do I need to run it through the dry-cleaner, or would that even do it?
