What a wonderful gift, and happy to hear you have a bit more of a growing season. I always envy those who live farther south than I do here in New England because they can grow more for longer...except one friend reminds me that tulips will NOT grow in Texas and she misses them.

Hope your roses last for a long time!

Oh how wonderful and a beautiful way to celebrate. I hate cut flowers because I want them to live. So this is special to me. Thank you for sharing.

Beautiful--and very exciting to be in a zone where they will thrive! What a nice gift! I have only had luck with the most hardy of roses although I will sometimes buy the David Austins with the hope that they will last, but the knowledge that they likely won't!

We just got back from the nursery. It was a madhouse!

I don't know anything about roses, but those are beautiful.

Golden Showers is one of my favorite yellows. And the ornament is so cute.

Since reaching teenage years, my 2 sons have been remembering me with roses for Mother's Day. Rose bushes, actually! When I lived in Northern Ontario, I treated them like annuals because the growing zone (2b) was so harsh. Only the 'John Cabot' made it through winter.

We moved to Southern Ontario (Zone 5) summer 2014, but my garden wasn't ready to receive new plantings last year. Roses have a better chance of a long life down here, so choice and placement is serious business! This year I received 2 - yellow climbers - 'Golden Showers' and 'Yellow Blaze'.

DH insisted on a garden ornament - to celebrate my other passion!

1. My John Cabot
2. Baby roses
3. Golden Showers
4. Yellow Blaze
5. In the herb garden (too early for any herbs though!)
