It cost me all of $5 and has optional padding. I don't expect much support from a bandeau, just some light shaping. I also have one from Coobie, but it isn't quite as comfortable and it more prone to rolling down. It might just be that the elastic is giving out.&nbsp;</p> <p>Jenni NZ -- Ah, the Madewell cami last spring! I so wanted it to work out. Such a great print. Unfortunately, the straps were <b>so long</b> relative to the length of the body. With the straps shortened, it became a true crop top on me (and I'm wearing pretty high rises these days, so if a top is exposing my midriff, it is definitely too short!). I *adore* the print. And it's rare to find a strappy tank that doesn't gape and reveal too much of something or other. Also, it looks fantastic with black jeans as a going out top (no, the slouchy chinos and sport sandals are not an intentional styling choice but we'd just gotten back from the beach, hence the beach hair and the small photo-bomber flailing his swim gear around).</p> <p>Does the fit look okay? Too blousey? Too peplum-y? I don't *think* there's too much extra room around the chest? And suspect it would be too snug across my back if I went down a size. Obviously it's been a while since I wore a cute "going out top" like this. </p> <p>Oh -- and I've got the beloved black merino bralette on here; not very noticeable in the photos but I'd probably go with my bandeau (or nada; or a pretty, lacy, intentionally visible bralette) to wear this out in the wild. I like it best semi tucked, at least with pants.</p> <p>So what do you think, yay or nay? Is this the right size? </p> <p>(Side note: I tried the matching skirt but was pretty meh towards it and sent it back. It hit right at the knee on me, much like on the model -- I'm 5'4" so how is that possible?! I just want more length and volume/movement than this skirt offers). </p>
