I have two and have fine hair. I really liked the babylis pro round iron so bought one in this brand for the flat iron. I find it works really well. I think the other one is Fahrenheit. They have lots of hype and it works well.

I didn't use it much then but now I do, and I like it (the tool that is, I hate styling my hair!). I have fine hair too. I see in the Amazon reviews someone says it has an odor? Nope, no odor.

Forgot to mention we both have fine but full heads. These irons work across the board though.

My Mom bought this one at an Ulta store in California last time we were on vacation:

http://www.hottools.com/produc.....ct=HT7105F

She just picked it out herself without any help from sales associates or what have you. That said, she'd previously had a "Hot Tools" brand flat iron that she liked, but ended up leaving it in a hotel room by accident on a previous vacation. At least she knew she liked the brand.

Anyway - I tried this one myself a few times during our CA vacation - quite liked it. Not nearly as expensive as some of the higher-end brands, but this thing works like a dream! I have fine, straight hair - though lots of it. Battle lots of frizziness and so on. This particular flat iron that my Mom bought is way better than the 'Chi' one I have. I'm tempted to get one myself. It works beautifully and quite quickly. Doesn't seem like you need multiple passes through the hair to get it straightened. It's fast and works well, imo.

Note: I tried to find this on Ulta's website, but didn't find it online. We bought it at Ulta in the store.

I like this flat-iron and would like to get one myself, after trying the one my Mom bought.

eta: found it on Ulta's site after all:

I read the same reviews on Amazon. My Daughter bought me a CHI for my birthday about 4 years ago at J. C. Penny's in the hair salon. I use it almost daily, love it. It was warrantied and cost around $80. Worth every penny! Now that she's pro she recommends Baby Bell but still loves the CHI. You can find maybe at a beauty supply store. She recommends you ask your hair dresser as she may pass on her discount to you.

I went to Ulta to recon but was overwhelmed by the variety and price points. The SA recommended Brocato (sp?) but I found very few reviews for it. Found a lot of reviews for CHI and they are very reasonably priced on Amazon, suspiciously so in fact. A little more time on Google reveals that several of them are fake and don't come with a warranty. I am very confused. Can you recommend your brand and where you bought it?

I want to use it to take care of the frizz and plan to use it on e or twice a week.
