I love both flares and bootcuts and I thought (perhaps mistakenly) that, with the comeback of wider hems, both were on the rise again. Having said that, a discreet and slim bootcut seems more classic to me than a more pronounced flare. I've seen them done very&nbsp;well with combat boots, which I think you could sport really easily. I wear them with platforms.&nbsp;Why not try one of each? </p> <p>With regards to dating, it's happened to both at least twice&nbsp;in my lifetime. But what goes around comes around. I'd say flares are on the way in, boot cuts on the way out. But neither are likely to stay out of favour very long. With flares you really have to wear heels but with bootcuts you can cheat a little bit. I am opting for flairs this year. They are all so long that I know I will need to hem them so will lose some of the flair. What length will you be wearing? My ideal pair would be a pair that follows the leg line to the knee then flares out to cover my shoe.
