Usually coats I will need the larger size because, well, hips. But it depends on shoulder and bust fit too. Some things that fit my hips just end up being too broad across the back. Since you mention a flare at the hip of this, I'm particularly intrigued! Pairs well with denim and bottoms that pull from flower colors. TTS (I got a Large P).</p> <p><b>Lafayette 148 NY ‘Odene’ Collarless Lambskin Topper</b><br /> I had high hopes for this piece as being a dressier work topper, but the leather, though soft, doesn’t fall back on the body, as Angie describes when a garment stands away from the body. It would undoubtedly look better on a smaller chest. I couldn’t wait for mine to arrive so I tried it in store. Back it goes as soon as it gets here.</p> <p><b>Halogen Novelty Patter Crewneck Sweater</b><br /> Another disappointment..tried in store as above. It’s very thin, which makes the lighter parts somewhat transparent, plus it’s really long for a Summer-length sweater, but not quite a tunic. I will probably be sending back when it arrives, unless the petite I ordered is better than the ‘regular’.</p> <p><b>Pendleton ‘Hillsdale’ Buffalo Plaid Wool Blend Coat</b><br /> I do NOT need another coat! Ignoring that, I ordered my usual 10, and tried it in store. It runs big as Angie mentioned, for me an 8 worked well. It is a little scratchy on the neck, but not enough to cause me concern. I was pleasantly surprised at the slight flare at the hem. Favorite color pairing, so this should be a workhorse. Yay!</p> <p><b>Stuart Weitzman Pointy Toe Block Heel Pump</b><br /> I saw these Friday morning online when the sale started and put them in my Finds to think about. Then I ended up at the Flagship and saw the fantastic color, a sort of mottled cobalt to navy, possibly black patent. The leather has what we call ‘lit from within’ look in the nail polish fan world. Also, no problems with pinching of my wide foot with bunions. They’re stable and soft in the footbed. I came home with a 7, but just ordered a 6.5 online to see if they are better. I’m normally a 6 or even a 5.5 in sandals, but with pumps it’s tricky to get one that doesn’t pinch but will stay on as feet change size and temperature throughout the day. I also like the visual weight of a block heel on me, where I am, shape-wise. Shoes without platform or substantial heels further my IT tendencies.</p> <p><b>‘Le Pliage Cuir’ Leather Tote</b><br /> I had no intention of buying any more bags, but I found the last one of these (in black) on the bag table being fondled by the SA. I was curious as to how it was constructed, since I have the regular nylon version that is definitely a workhorse for me. The leather is buttery, but the coolest part is the inside, which is lined in this version with an awesome horse print material AND it has a zip pocket and two phone slip in pockets! The SA told me people had been coming in half way through the first day of the sale asking for these but they had sold out first thing in the morning. We suspect a stylist had it upstairs for a client, which is why it showed up so late in the day. I think it looks a little more polished for dressier days at work and professional travel than my nylon one, so it will stay.</p> <p><b>‘Off the Grid’ Print Lightweight Sweater</b><br /> Found in-store, this is a great light linen Summer sweater (or AC sweater). Lovely periwinkle and black, so another yay! </p>
