I'm sorry it's not easy to do, but I think you will be happy with the larger size.

It's not easy to size up unfortunately - I'll have to pay to ship this one back - but I think I've settled on it and I need a larger size. Thanks for confirming what my gut already knew!

First -- I want to say that the coat is a magnificent color. I agree with Viva that, as it is a cocoon style, the fit should be a bit roomier (i.e. - have more ease). I would try one size up to compare.

I think it should be bigger. Is it easy enough for you to try a size up? I have a cocoon coat from retail, and it's quite roomy; it's really part of the whole cocooning aspect of it. By the way, I saw that color in our outlet and it is gorgeous. I really love it.

I picked this J Crew Factory coat up during a great sale a couple weeks ago. Just questioning the fit and curious what you think. I sized down as reviewers suggested, but does it look too small now? I can fit a heavy sweater underneath and still move easily enough, but I'm wondering if the fit should be boxier than it is. (Excuse the try-on with a dress; I will probably only ever wear it with pants). The colour is gorgeous in person! Very happy I went with green instead of the grey I almost chose.
