Bah, couldn't get it to work on my Macbook Pro :p

Oh well - I seem to be a 4 in Theory and a 4 in Calvin Klein, and the rest of my clothes are of brands that they probably won't recognize anyway :)

I think I might get one of the Eliza J just for fun; the duties and stuff are about 25% of the price, so still a bit steep.

Lyn, I am wondering if True Fit is available only to cardholders? I know I tried to use it before I had the card and it would never work for me. It isn't terribly informative for me yet anyway - it doesn't advise you on everything, and you have to know your fit in brands it "recognizes" which for us Canadians may not be many.

The only sizing tables I've ever found to be dead on are the ones at Boden. Any other chart puts me in clothes that are much too large.

Lyn, I don't know about Tahari dresses, but I find Eliza J to be TTS. I nearly always wear a 6 (rarely a 4) in dresses and I wear a 6 in Eliza J.

Is the True Fit thing broken? When I click the new profile, it just loops back and refreshes the page

I have had A LOT of success with the Nordstrom true fit thing, for dresses and jeans both. I would give it a try.

Lyn I don't know why but I am almost always a smaller size than the charts say I should be. Nordstrom have this new true fit thing, that I haven't tried. Not sure how it works.

If it helps, my measurements are 33/29/37 low hip and I almost always take a size 2/XS dress at Nordstrom and elsewhere. Shoulders are sloping but balanced proportionally (I also take a size 2, often a 4 in petite sizing, in jackets). So a size 4 dress sounds about right for you.

Can you use Nordstrom's fit predictor thing? I put in my J.Crew sizing (closer to 0/2 rather than 2/4 because they cut for rectangles) and always get a dress size 2 out of the predictor. I don't use the sizing tables, except for the individual "XS=0-2" or "XS=2-4" converters that are customized for each brand.

If you ordered Halogen, then I think it is typically (though not always) on the generous side. The pencil skirts used to fit large, anyway.

It does seem as if measurements don't always give us a completely accurate sizing. Part of that must have to do with shoulder fit. Ceit probably has a broader shoulder measurement than you so even if waist and bust are only an inch different it could lead to a very different size.

I'm afraid I don't know about sizing on those dresses, but they are really pretty. I really like #3!

p.s. I ordered that pencil skirt in that colour!

Good morning!

I thought I'd try my luck at NAS too, since we have a new shipping option that isn't FiftySucks ... uh, FiftyOne ...

I found a few pretty dresses that I'd like to try, except I'm not sure what to order. I usually wear a size 2 or 4 in dresses, usually a 4 because I don't like being very squished.

My measurements are 34/27/37, but according to the size chart, I should be a size 8? This doesn't make any sense to me, so I thought I'd turn to the collective wisdom of YLF to help me make some sense of what to order. :)

Size 4, right? :p

PS: Any favorites of the dresses? I think I may order 2. May be convinced to order 3. :p

PPS: Also, love this outfit!
