The cords might work for some things, it's true. I do have those in mind. Wearing them with my tweed jacket for instance--do you think that's a lot of texture going on?

Ana: Do you for sure want jeans? I am the anti-corduroy girl, but I must admit that I love the cream matchstick cords I got from J. Crew.

I own a pair of Diesel Sandre in size 30. The actual measurement is 29 inches at the waist. The rise is 10 1/2 inches. I like the higher rise (fits me about an inch and a half or so under my belly button) for the slimming effect.

Ok. Well, maybe I'll take a pass then. I'll keep looking for some to alter. Thanks for the info!

Ana, I think I tried the Diesel jeans before they were final sale. They are very high waisted. The waist measurement is probably the actual measurement of your actual waist-- around the belly button or just above. At least that is how they fit on me. I needed 1 size up to fit in the hips and 2 sizes up to fit the waist-- hence I returned them.

Go up two sizes, Ana. Diesel's fit is TINY.

Ana, in my experience Diesel jeans run very small, and I believe Angie has confirmed this. I recently got a pair of dark straight leg jeans from Diesel ( still at the alteration place) and I needed size 28 , I usually wear 26/27 in premium jeans. So definitely size up.

In my quest to find cream skinny jeans, I found these Diesel jeans:

http://www.yoox.com/item.asp?t.....#038;dept=

I've never tried on any Diesel Jeans before. The price and the leg opening measurment make it very tempting to buy these (even though it's final sale). Is anyone familiar with how Diesel jeans fit? I normally wear a size 6, but in premium label jeans, I wear a 29. I was thinking of buying the 30s in these because I thought I remembered that Ds run small.

My other option is to buy these:

http://www.shopbop.com/super-f.....shopbysize

And have them altered into a straight leg/"skinny" style.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Edit: Oops, I guess the Sevens in my size are sold out. Info on Diesels would be great!
