We had to walk to the train station on stone-lined streets on a very wet day, and suddenly I realized that I could not walk fast because my boots were extremely slippery on the stone surface (it wasn't cobblestone, more like slate or something like that, I am not sure). I'm in Paris right now, and I can tell you that just about anything goes! You see a little bit of everything here, just as you do in any big city. </p> <p>I'd say that the most important thing is to bring comfortable shoes that you can walk for miles in. If they're half-way fashionable that's a plus, but really, comfort is key. Flat or low-heeled ankle boots should be perfect for November. </p> <p>A nice pair of dark wash jeans will take you just about anywhere but the nicest restaurant, and mix and match neutral colors are always good.</p> <p>It's amazing how everybody wears scarves, and I mean all the time! You'll pretty much feel naked if you're not wearing one.
