Good luck! </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/first-day-at-new-job---wtw#post-1130010 Mon, 06 Jan 2014 02:57:00 +0000 Jenava 1130010@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>Hi ladies,<br />Please help me choose an outfit for work tomorrow! &nbsp;I will be working for a smallish consulting company in an internal IT position. &nbsp;The office appears to be on the casual side of business casual...</p> <p>Coming from the fashion retail industry I want to appear young and hip, but professional.</p> <p>On to the outfits.</p> <p>#1 is a dark purple seamed sheath dress from Adrienne Papell, worn with taupe leather jacket and taupe knee-high boots with gold details. &nbsp;I would not wear hosiery with this. &nbsp;PROS: I like the color combo, it's comfy. &nbsp;CONS: a bit traditional?</p> <p>#2 is an embossed leather pencil skirt that is rather high-waisted, however you can't tell because I'm wearing a slouchy-fit grey cashmere sweater over it. &nbsp;Worn with tights and black suede wedge booties. &nbsp;PROS: The sweater is extremely comfortable, and I feel this hits the right note of not being over-dressed but looking professional. &nbsp;CONS: too boring? &nbsp;Skirt is a bit uncomfy to sit in,&nbsp;due to being high-waisted and stiff.</p> <p>#3 is similar to #1, but a more modern dress. &nbsp;A touch longer and slimmer, it is also crewneck rather than v-neck. &nbsp;It's a bit body-con. &nbsp;I'd need to wear tights with this, or I'd wear black leather booties that come up a bit on the ankle and are slim fitting. &nbsp;PROS: The most modern of the outfits, I think. &nbsp;I like this dress and it is comfy, but haven't worn it much because, CONS: dress is very fitted. &nbsp;I'd wear Spanx w it, which would lessen it's comfort level</p>
