The knee-break, the flare of the bootcut, and the rise of the petite version are all *so* much better for my 5'2" frame. I agree with modgrl on that 100%. Hems are easy in comparison!</p> <p>I'm so used to seeing myself in skirts and dresses, I felt almost naked in these tight-on-my-curves jeans. Jeans have come a long way, baby. At least, they've come a long way since I last purchased or wore any (almost ten years ago).</p> <p>I spent about an hour at my nearby Nordstrom this afternoon, trying on a lot of denim. They carried some of what Angie recommended for me, but not all. I really liked a pair of Paige Hidden Hills bootcuts (but they didn't come in petite, meaning an over 2" hemming was needed, which kills the awesome bootcut line), another Paige pair of skinnies (I never thought I'd hear myself say that), and a Citizens of Humanity petite bootcut, shown below.</p> <p>I brought home the CoH pair, but I am wondering about the color. I know that they dyed it this way on purpose (lighter on the front thighs, with whiskering at the crotch), but...I'm not 100% sure that I like it. I've ordered another pair in a different wash so that I can compare the two.</p> <p>What do you think about the dye? I know that the front view is kinda dark, I hope you can see what I'm talking about.
