It might be thick enough for winter. The fabric is very soft, the turtleneck comfortable. There is a bit of strangeness in the arm seaming. While I wanted it to look cute and oversized on me, it didn't. When I saw this, with the fun texture and in a color that is one of my best, I snapped it up. The cashmere is soft, even on my sensitive skin. The v is a bit deep and would require a cami, but I am fine with that as I would layer under it anyway. Winter is cold, very cold, by me. However, it wasn't fitted enough to be flattering or boxy enough to look intentional. It's just a tee, right? Except it hides all the bumps and lumps, feels delightful, the color is rich, and it can be hand washed.
