I always have red tops and sweaters to choose from because it’s our university color, and we're basketball fans/ticket holders (not this year.) And I like the red sweater outfit the best! The green top outfit is great too. But something about the silhouette and contrast in the last outfit gives it the edge. Don’t give up on it yet. And I agree with Carla re the red sweater.  I have a couple of pieces that I don't feel are really true to my style but they are perfect on occasions.  This silk blouse would be the first that springs to mind - I can only wear it with jeans and it is very soft and drapey (not my best look).  But every now and then it is fun and I like it. Also did /do not want to default to a black bottom or top with everything . Nothing terribly fantastic about these outfits, but I'm having fun figuring out what I'll wear and how, and I have to say that I feel really good about being dressed nicely at home. Scent, makeup, and jewellery chosen specifically for the outfit makes things feel almost normal in the world. Almost. Monday - at work. Stretch velvet blazer, black jersey sleeveless fitted top (Eileen Fisher , black wide leg pants (Lulu OTF) black leather sneakers (Nike) , layered necklaces (Jenny Bird and Club Monaco) . Tuesday - at home . Washed black cigarette jeans (Gap) , green sequinned t (H&M) and a cashmere blend cardigan (Lord & Taylor) . Emerald green "jewel" earrings - Lovers Tempo. Pompom mule slippers - BR. Wednesday - groceries, errands and around the house . cashmere blend sweater - White Stuff UK, jeans that I cut off 2 minutes before leaving the house - Levis, boots - Sam Edelman, jacket - Topshop, scarf - Echo. Star earrings - Lovers Tempo Note : this is my least favourite of the three as I’m never sure how I feel about the sweater . Every year at this time I want a red sweater and can never find one that feels like me . This is a little twee for my preferences but I’m trying to find ways to wear it . The teddy coat is always a struggle as it’s a size too big plus the colour is weird - but it’s ridiculously lightweight and comfy and easy to wear . Thoughts, comments , jokes, always welcome ! Pics are intentionally overexposed because it's so cloudy and gloomy this week and my bedroom is quite dark at the best of times.
