Yes. Ankle nylons are a love of mine formed in Asia. It may seem hokey at first, but one grows to love it...

Rachelou, I rarely use umbrellas and rely on either thin jackets or a scarf tied around my head to see me through storms. Now that I'm here, the one issue seems to be footwear. The heat and humidity have been pretty challenging on my blister prone feet, even with moleskine. Bandaids refuse to stay on. This would have been an issue with any of my shoes, so that was unavoidable. I now understand the incentive for women here to wear stockings in this heat.

What a lovely travel capsule! Looks very efficient. I second buying an umbrella there.

Actually, I go get a thin clear rain jacket from the hardware store and take that. Having been caught in one too many down pours, which rendered an umbrella useless, I gave up on them. I used to find them at Boots, but I feel like drugstores have given up on selling emergency rain jackets.

Have a great trip! Awesomeome minimal packing. DH, DD and I did the Iceland Ringroad, Hiked around Mt Blanc, and 5 days in Copenhagen last summer with EUropean airlines-legal carryon luggage but I compromised on style. YOu will be much more fashionable than I was with this cohesive wardrobe.

do you need/have a hat? I'm super sun sensitive so I always travel with one. Might be something to purchase there.

Sounds like a great hot weather capsule. Buy the umbrella their. Our DS who lives in Tokyo swears by Airism by Uniqlo and wears the Airism tees under his work shirts. If you need something quickly check out their store.
Have a wonderful trip and eat the Japanese breakfast. It will stay with you longer.

What a great minimal packing capsule. You have a great combination of clothes.

Agreeing with K.M. maybe you want to add in a rain jacket/umbrella. I have been burned so many times on travels with odd weather for the season that I now travel with a packable light weight puffer and a packable jacket.

Enjoy your trip.

What a beautiful capsule for an amazing destination! There's a minimalist Japanese sensibility in your capsule... very elegant, and many possible combinations. I love those buckled ballet flats--what shoes are these?
Would you want to bring rain boots and/or a portable umbrella too?

PS Enjoy your trip!
