I also love turtles, but this one is particularly nice. i think it would provide a nice addition to any wardrobe. I have to agree with Suz and Isabel. Glad you're trying it! Looking forward to hear your results!

Seems like a great choice for all the reasons you described! I like the spaced cabling on the sleeves, rather than an all over pattern which can be too bulky. It seems like a cross category piece with rustic/elegant/luxe influences. Nice!

I am probably no help because I love turtlenecks and love charcoal grey! I think it's terrific!

Is "corporate" good or bad for you?

I don't see why it wouldn't look good on an apple with a small bust...assuming the styling was good. If if it fluid enough to glide over your curves, then it would disguise the apple and highlight the bust a bit, no?

p.s. I don't *need* a turtleneck in my wardrobe, so "please don't" would be an acceptable response. I'm just trying to find a way to mix it up this winter, with my scarves and layers

I have avoided turtlenecks for a few years. I am small chested and as an apple, I carry my extra 5-10 pounds (especially after the holidays!) around my waistline. Therefore I don't like a column of flat, blah knit, and I prefer the look of layering or interest around the neckline. And I always wear patterns in at least one piece of the outfit, and pattern mix when I can.

However I found this Nordstrom turtleneck that I thought would be great: it has a pattern, and it is a little boxy. And it's mostly grey, my most favoritest color! Please help! On me, the look is very corporate. Is there hope for this pretty little piece on an apple? Or is there another look I should be seeking out?

Much appreciation!
xo
