THe big problem for me was that the heel was enormous for me in the 9 1/2 and the back of my foot kept slipping out. Though the front felt fine with 9 1/2. So I went with the 9. They are a little tight ( I have bunions ...but don't cry for me ) and I am going to have them stretched a bit !!!</p> <p>Good luck and happy "Fryeing" !!!!!! I'm a 5.5. wide, so I usually wear a 6 just for comfort. These are superhard to get on with a high arch, so I wanted some wiggle room. I still can't get my feet in them with real socks, even after having the heel area stretched. Once your foot is in, they seem pretty TTS. </p> <p>If you're not going to be able to return, make sure your foot and ankle are flexible enough to get into a boot like this. I got an 8 because I do NOT like wearing heavy socks inside boots (these are not outdoor boots for me). They do stretch a little and I will end up being okay in thin socks and fine in hosiery inside them. </p> <p>I hope that helps some but, please take my experience with a grain of salt.
