And I'm totally able to relate. I really couldn't let it air-dry either the last two months. I always washed my hair in the evening, but with that cut it just looked horrible when I had slept on it. So I had to wash (or at least make it wet) in the morning and then I didn't have time for air drying. It looks fine when flattened but I have wavy hair and these days I am letting dry on its own and it does not look good. I have some very short strands more or less right next to the longer ones around my face, I really don't know what the one who did the bad cut was thinking. Did some looking around and found a great stylist who was able to make it look good, while also explaining exactly what was going on - ie. she'd trim the bottom a wee bit each time, so that the bottom of my hair would begin to "match" the slowly growing out layers etc. Layers are gone now, but I remember her always showing me the back with a mirror and saying things like, "Only about an inch now until the layers are grown out to the ends" etc. I have a few face-framing layers in the front and the back is all one length again, thank goodness! </p> <p>Anyway, lucky you - especially for such a great price. </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/finally-found-a-good-hair-stylist#post-948015 Tue, 04 Jun 2013 12:51:30 +0000 Astrid 948015@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>Thanks Harmonica. Hair is still slightly wet and my usual corkscrew strands in front don't do what I want, but you get the idea. Basically she cut the longest layer again, just minimally trimmed the shorter layers and cut the ends overall soft and a bit choppy. </p> <p>I'm also wearing a dress btw, for the challenge Ingunn proposed. It's in the neighbourhood. The stylist was super friendly and identified the problems of my bad cut from a while ago at once. She really listened to what I said and cut it in a way that it looks good now, while keeping the overall goal in mind (letting the badly cut layers grow out). She also advised me about not blow drying my hair without me asking about it. And if the hair gets too long at the nape in the next few weeks I can come in without appointment for a touch up, all part of the service. And all this did cost me 15€ in the end.&nbsp; I'm still in awe... </p> <p>Hair is still wet because I had to shower to get rid of the itching, but I'm going to post some pics later. </p>
