I'd say a relatively less-curvy hourglass. Both softer H and stretched out X should result in that silhouette, actually, no? In practical terms, it probably means you take pages out of both the hourglass and rectangle guidelines, and maybe a few ideas on inverted triangles for the shoulder line too, for good measure.

Thank you for your help and kind, supporting comments!

ManidipaM, drawings could be problematic, since I didn't shade them (I'm not 2D after all), or check the camera angle in the original photos... good to realize it now :P

Mrseccentric, Krishnidoux and Gaye, thank your for your IT support! But secondary slim hourglass? It's kinda surprising, although I don't mind! It's just that I do have some padding in my thighs and I have a bust, but I can't get my waist much narrower than how it is in that photo, it mainly flattens.

The term slim hourglass is also a bit confusing. Is it like softer H-shape, a stretched out X or just a slim person who has the X shape? I have read posts where people mention it, but I haven't figured out what it means. It may be simple for you guys, but this stuff is still new to me.

And Patty, yes, I've spent most of my life drawing and I'm hoping to become a professional some day.

inverted triangle, it seems, but with a belt at the waist it would like an hourglass--you could probably pull off clothing for either

Goodness, you're no rectangle or triangle, you're a slim hourglass! I guess photos speak louder than art, being closer to real-life encounters.

Looking at your pic, your figure is quite similar to mine - IT (nice beautiful shoulders, you can get away with a lot!) and definite hourglass secondary. You are like lots of us (me too) in that the widest part of your torso is more the top of the thigh rather than strictly on the hip. I think your lovely drawings stopped a little short. Compared to your widest hip your waist is very prominently small. Also, the line from your armpit to the top of your thigh is curvy all along on both sides - a rectangle would be straighter up and down.

Welcome to a very admired body type! it's a lot of fun to dress, but i get tired of ripping the shoulders out of my pj's ; ) steph

Thanks everyone, racy seems to be the word of the day.
Here's a 4th picture. I made those drawings by tracing the outlines from other photos, but I probably should show you at least one "real" picture, to be sure.

I say you are an Inverted Triangle (look at pic 3). My body is very similar to yours in proportions. You might be secondary rectangle.

I see rectangle too, though I'm very new here, so hopefully one of the more experienced members can confirm that for you.

Can I just add I'm terribly envious of your art skills?

Yep, I think you've nailed it, I'd say rectangle. Awesome illustrations by the way - what a really helpful way to demonstrate a shape!

It sure took long enough to get my own thread going.
I took my pictures a couple of weeks ago, but I then got cold feet and didn't post them. So, if it's okay I'll just post drawn silhouettes based on pictures I took.

My measurements are 35"-27.5"-37" ( 89-69.5-94 cm), and I'm 5'8 ft (173 cm) tall. As you can see, my shoulders are quite broad compared to the rest of my body. If my measurements are correct, the shoulders' circumference is around 39.5" or 100 cm. Needless to say, it's the widest part of my body.
I weight 128 lbs (58 kg), and the padding seems to go all over my body, although I'm not sure. It might primarily go to my bottom half (my sister is like that) but it's hard to tell, because I'm still quite slim.

I don't have much hips or waist, so I guess I'd go to the IT/Rectangle camp? How does it seem?
