We'll be tunic and jeans twins. </p> <p>I do like the pants. I really like the shape of them on you; that tapered, slim leg is really nice on your frame, and they seem like a modern fit, moving away from the skinnier ankle trousers. Also they look great in back--there is no draping on the legs (which would be a sign they were not hanging right from the hips). They look good with your Okalas, and with all your stylings here. You might try them with different footwear before deciding, if you're really unsure--see how they look with the shoes and boots you'll want to wear them with in winter. Other things to consider: Do you get tired of your current pants selection as winter drags on? (Might be good to add these, then.) Are you wanting to work a little brown into your wardrobe? (I love the deep brown, and I think it looks fab on you, but I'm biased toward the color.) Were you wanting a dressy, tailored pant? I like to have some nice wool trousers in my wardrobe, even though I don't wear them that often. They tend to last for several seasons before feeling out of date, and since I don't wear them year round, I don't tire of them easily. </p> <p>I'd skip the jacket. Anything that makes you feel like you're dressing like someone else (or an older version of yourself) is not good, no matter how nice it looks on you. The BCBG jacket by comparison is telling--it looks more hip and more you. Ditto on the tank. It's pretty, but if it doesn't thrill you, I think you can find some pieces that are more exciting for less $$$.</p> <p>P.S. love the boots. A lot! It has zipper sides, elbow patches and feels like a dream. Keep? Check! Worn over my "up for consideration" Irving stretch brown wool trousers. I told myself, "do you really need these, and can you really make an outfit or 3 with them?" Well, here's one...and I think they may be flattering?</p> <p>#2 The Lafayette reed cloth, leather collar jacket. It has multicolor thread, including a gold and burgundy metallic that makes it look kind of matronly to me. The only plus is the leather collar. I think it fits OK considering my chest and shoulder challenges, but it may be too long for my frame AND it makes me feel old, not hip. Thoughts? The model can pull it off, but meh...also worn over the Irving slacks.</p> <p>#3 The Irving slacks, styled 3 ways. The BCBG jacket is soooooo good, you must see to believe. It's still in the BCBG stores, as it was a Summer arrival. Anyway, back to NAS. The reversible silk Lafayette tank is another meh, and for $150, I feel like I could do better.</p> <p>#4 Sharan (Firecracker) is responsible for this beauty (high five sista!). The Halogen high/low cashmere tunic in purple magenta is gorge! Worn over my older SFAM skinnies and with the sweater's shipping companion, the Pikolino 'Bruja' booties. All I can say is, the wait is over. For high volume feet that need a little heel, cushioned footbed and leather like butta, these are the ticket! Worn without socks, they feel like slippers.</p> <p>Black Okalas in wide width are not NAS, but are super duper comfy. Other NAS purchase updates: Michael Kors belt comes in white, black and brown and is really nice quality, perfect width and smooth and easy buckle.
