The weather in Sydney and Perth is definitely warmer than Melbourne or NZ - we are a quite a bit north of you and for me, as I drive to work, I am going from my car to lock up garage and then into a work carport underneath my building - so not getting exposed to the elements in my daily commute. You are right, I am almost the same age as you and definitely see you as in my age group. Whenever I wear this jacket people compliment me on it, I am thrilled that I got it from Target. My uniform has the following aspects: </p> <ul> <li>statement dress or skirt and top combination</li> <li>jacket or coat</li> <li>pumps or boots</li> <li>statement handbag - usually medium sized satchel</li> </ul> <p>I seem to get enough variety from these components to not need to veer too far from the formula. In fact, this formula has become my signature style and I am comfortable with that. Thanks Angie for posing the challenge to get me to reflect on why I like wearing dresses so much. </p> <p>Friday - another day at work, but we have a more relaxed dress code on Fridays. I wore my snakeskin print dress, with blush faux fur and white boots. My bag is a new favourite, bought on my trip to Japan. I liked the lighter palette after a week of bold or dark colours.&nbsp;</p> <p>I had to go direct from work to attend my son's school play - a bit of a riff on Camelot with lots of puns. My son was Sir Roundsound - a very noisy leader of the Knights of the Roundtable... It was heaps of fun and a brilliant way to start the weekend.</p> <p>Today - rather than wear a dress, I decided to put on this denim skirt. I really like this skirt, it is soft and comfortable - it is by Mother denim, which for me is a great brand. I have had this skirt for about 2 years and find it a fun and easy alternative to jeans.
