Thanks for the suggestion. Those ribbed tops look really elegant and form fitting, which is right up my style. I’ll check out other posts regarding fitted tops on this forum as well.

As for rectangle and pear styles, I’m small busted and would like to define my waist more. So I like styles that add more volume to the top and gives the illusion of curves. Aside from liking well fitted tops and pants, I’m more of dresses and skirts kind of gal.

In those photos, especially the later ones that are basically dark outlines of your shape, I think you look very hourglass.

Are there suggestions for rectangles or pears that work for you? That's what it's really about--finding the tips that work for you, whatever the label above them says.

As for tops right now, how about fitted ribbed tops? La Pedestrianne did a post about them a couple months ago, and I'm sure there are more recent examples of them and of fitted tops in the forum. Some of the newer crop tops that end right at the waist might also work well. Idk if these fitted tops from my finds are your style; they're just to give you an idea what I'm talking about.

Here's a link to my photos:
https://photos.app.goo.gl/D6QFvgqaEX3HAD4L7

I'm a 34 year old Southeast Asian female, 5'3", 120 lbs, size 6-8, and my measurements are 35-26-36.

My biggest challenges in shopping are finding tops that flatter my figure. There's so many that are baggy and shapeless, even for petite people like myself.

I tend to go for more practical, timeless, and budget friendly styles. However, I'll be adventurous every now and then if I really love the piece/ensemble.

Anyway, it's nice to be on here. Any feedback is welcome!

Welcome! Can you tell us a little more about yourself?

When you add pix to your post, be sure to also make a comment to bump it up to the top. Another way around this, if you want one, would be to post pictures elsewhere, and give us the link.

I almost always get hourglass, but looking at my photos I think I’m more of a rectangle or pear. Thoughts?
