We look more at the body's silhouette as viewed from the front. So measurements are not all that helpful.</p> <p>Have you checked out Imogen's Inside Out Style blog? She goes into detail about X's and 8's. It’s really more a visual thing than a numbers thing... and it’s your outline from the front. Bust and bum count for fit, but not as much for shape. Visually, I don’t see a “shelf” I guess I associate that with a larger back side and I feel like my backside is long. It’s been making me crazy for about a year and I just want to know which so I can use the rules to help me find clothing that’s fits. My curves and my height are a difficult combo, as I’m 4’11. I can’t figure out how to upload a pic. Here are my measurements<br /> Shoulders-39in<br /> Bust- 39in<br /> Waist-30in<br /> Hips-41in<br /> I have hip dips (my high hip where it starts to curve is 39 in)<br /> I’m 4’11<br /> My waist to floor is 37in<br /> My waist to top of head is 22in</p> <p>I think that’s all the measures I’ve seen on calculators. I’ll add a pic once I realize how. </p>
