At Immaculate Conception services this week I went kind of festive in silver but most people wore blue to honor Mary. For a Saturday choir practice and errand running:<br /> Red skinny jeans, black crewneck sweater, scarf with musical pattern. Out, I wore my "men's" Chelsea boots and grey peacoat.</p> <p>2. First Sunday in Advent, so attended a special carol service.<br /> Black leather gored skirt. New red sweater with a sort of loop at the front, so I threaded my "stained glass" scarf through it for a hit of Advent purple. I even wore tights! and my "ladies' " Chelsea boots.</p> <p>3. Black, white and red plissé blouse and (warm) black pinstripe pants with a high rise and wider legs, with the heeled booties.</p> <p>4. Green crewneck sweater with Black Watch ankle pants, long navy socks, and I think Moto boots (the outdoor footwear doesn't make it upstairs to the mirror). Stained glass scarf again, this time to echo the green.</p> <p>5. Cranberry turtleneck and black flared cords. A day in the ER, I wanted comfort and no fuss.</p> <p>6. Red wideleg pants and dark blue tie neck blouse with a paisleyish floral print (some red in it).</p> <p>7. For a big night: A sing along Messiah performance, straight from the office. Dress code was "festive". I almost went with red as did most of the choir. But I love this duster coat with metallic print and have so few excuses to wear it. For work I wore the gold shell over black Tneck and Ponte pants, with metallic belt and pointy toed booties. (The bling was toned down by the white coat over top.) For the performance I added the duster (the venue was very cold so I was glad of it.) And I changed out the booties for these D'Orsay flats with gold toes. I had wondered if they would stay on with hose; I wore black support kneehighs for all the standing, and I had no problem. </p>
