I didn't mind him but didn't have time to form any attachment:). Then when he regenerated and I saw David T, I introduced Master 11 to Doctor Who and now we are both totally committed. Master 11 favours DT also, which is natural as he was the first Doctor he knew. The Escape Artist is superb. If you can get it on DVD it is well worth it. It's a departure from Dr Who of course and from his Broadchurch character. I felt we really got to see how good an actor he was in it. You know, I initially had a really hard time with the Christopher Eccleston -> David Tennant switch.  I rather liked Christopher Eccleston as The Doctor. I could understand initially all the confused feelings from Clara regarding his regeneration, and the actor himself was fine, but we thought the plot was fairly basic, not up to the usual standard. It was telecast live at 4.50 a.m. Sunday morning in Oz and replayed Sunday evening. Master 11 and I were both cautiously optimistic about the new 'regenerated' Doctor but  by the end of the episode we had fully embraced him.  The first episode with a new Doctor must be incredibly challenging for the writers, and it was kind of awkward in moments but if you are a fan, definitely worth watching.  I think Peter Capaldi is going to do the Doctor proud.  And I loved his outfit.  (Each Doctor has his own distinct look) New Doctor, new look!  Navy Suit, with what looks like a satin red trim on the underside and black lace ups:) I do wonder if I will ever get over David Tennant tho:(
