I need a vision. Plus stuff for both at home and the office. Hot pink and black sorta captures my fancy, but that's a whatever. I need to come up with a silhouette. ...Just remembered I had the mini vision of trying to do my own version of a summer-in-the-city travel capsule that I saw in a mag. One blue jumpsuit, a tee-shirt dress - maybe stripey (grey, black, and one other colour), black sandals. I have the jumpsuit - bought it straight from the mag and even had it altered. But that's all I've got. AM, glad you like the blues, also, although I know you are a neutrals girl.  I share your love of silver/grey, too. Suz, I know you love your blues.  I think we have similar colouring.  Glad you like patterned pants, too.  I'm with you on the budgetry constraints.  My capsule will be very small, and will feature only smaller items like tops and accessories. Especially in the summer. I won't be buying a whole lot this year simply due to budgetary constraints, but it's pretty certain that what I wear will fit right in with the blue theme.  Patterned pants are a fantastic addition. There seems to be a lot of pale, pastel-y blue around at the moment, but I'm wary of that because it washes me out. However, I love mid-tone blues, and blues with a hint of steely grey in them, and cobalt and ink. Coral and mint are gorgeous but I can't wear them near my face. I like black in summer too - in obviously warm-weather fabrics like linen or cotton. Looking forward to hearing about progress on your search for patterned pants, and on adding to your navy and white capsule. I just finished making some patterned pants too and I'm planning on adding more creams, oatmeals, greys and soft purples. I might try the patterned wide legged culottes look, perhaps in a small geometric print. Summer on "Feeling blue" https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/feeling-blue#post-1447068 Wed, 25 Feb 2015 10:04:50 +0000 Summer 1447068@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ Don't worry, ladies, I'm not about to cry, I'm just planning my spring/summer wardrobe.  I can't buy very much this season, but anything I do buy is going to be blue, blue, blue.  With so much of it in the shops at the moment it would be foolish not to stock up on one of my favourite colours.  I might add a dash of lemon, too. just to freshen things up.  I can't handle the very bright yellows and oranges, but a little twist of lemon should do the trick. Angie's recent post on patterned pants has inspired me to give those a try, too.  If I can find the right pair, I may use those as the starting point of my mini capsule, which I can then mix and match with the navy and white that forms the basis of my summer wardrobe.  I can't wait to get started. What trends or colours will you be following this season?
