I am not even shopping for the current season, since really the summer is feeling like a mild winter right now. I'm just buying. There is somewhat of a theme, though - the buttondowns have been eye-opening for me, and I'm firm on no MORE skinnies (I have so many fab ones) and no bothering about summer shoes which I hate and rarely wear anyway. Is that a theme?</p> <p>I'm also staying off the flash sites and sales entirely, unless I have something specific in mind. And I'm using my consignment money to fulfill my impulse shopping unless it's a lot; then I cash out, like in Vegas.</p> <p>OTOH, I am discriminating far more than I used to - a year ago I would have gotten the Bailey 44 dress I posted thinking I needed it just because I loved it. Spring/Summer is my high shopping season in Austin, so I have been buying a lot of new clothes recently. Way more than I did last Fall/Winter. Plus, I had to replace quite a few things, or have them altered, so that's more $$$. I passed up a SUPER cute open-lacework jacket today. It was my size and on sale! But I decided I'm going to focus on shoes for the next little while since I have plenty of clothes now. That's one thing I always put off buying, and now my old pairs are starting to fall apart.
