				<description>&#060;p&#062;Yes it can have mild or no symptoms in the early stages I think. Hard to be sure. You’re making me think I should check when my own levels were tested! Since my overall weight loss in 4 years ( very slowly though) is 13 kg. That involved reducing both alcohol and portion size as well as more walking. Not that I drank that much alcohol before but it was too often- a small glass of wine most nights before that, now several alcohol-free days a week. Had better make sure it was all my own hard work!

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Jenni Nz - now that I think about it, it could be possible that I had undiagnosed mild hyperthyroidism before, because only dietary change was quitting alcohol, but I don’t think now that it can account for so much weight loss. But I didn’t have any other symptoms, unlike this year when I had it really bad, hands shaking so badly I could not type or write, sweating, insomnia, muscle weakness, fatigue, heart beating constantly around 100, and weight loss in spite of huge appetite. In 2 worst weeks I lost 3 kg and was constantly eating, only for breakfast I had 2 sandwiches, 2 bowls of cereal, couple of bananas and was still hungry. Now on medications, I feel fine, all symptoms are gone, but I have gained back all that I recently lost + 4kg more.

I gave up on trendy or ‘interesting’ knits a while back because I realized that I tire of them way before they wear out. Trying to stick to classics, favourite colours and natural fibres now (so I buy a lot fewer knits!).

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Best of luck with everything.  My father died over 10 years ago and I still get Mail for him. The hardest to stop are automatic withdrawals.  They keep saying that they need to hear from him!  My answer is that he can’t talk to them because he has died.&#060;br /&#062;
I also have weight determined by meds.  It goes up and down.  Right now everything is too big for me but I know that will change and I will be packing it on.  I also like plain things because I do not tire of them like prints.  Wishing you lots of happiness.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;April, yes, I just learnt on my onw skin how my weight is not so much dependent on how many calories I eat or even what I eat, but mostly on how fast is my metabolism. And metabolism is regulated by hormones so if hormones are mess there is not much what I can do with diet, it is pretty much out of my control. And this medications are working hard on blocking my thyroid hormones and drastically slowing down my metabolism as a result.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Today is a day for relaxing at home, watching TV, cooking for the family and packing. We are traveling tomorrow early in the morning to see my dad and to deal with my mom’s estate. Not sure how long that will take, so planning and packing for 5 days but hoping to finish everything sooner. Weather will be sunny but very cold, not cold per Canadian standards, but somewhere around -6C. There is still some frozen snow on the ground. We are traveling by car, it will take about 4 hours. &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Today’s outfit is cashmere and cords. Since starting medication for Graves in December, I have gained 4.5kg. I can still wear most of my wardrobe, especially things with lot of strech like this pants, but everything fits much tighter than I like. From my previous experience, 5kg is turning point when I need a new size, so I am almost there. I am currently on very strickt anti inflammatory diet (no sugar, dairy, grains, eggs, soy, corn) and still just barely slowing down the weight gain.&#060;br /&#062;
I must admit I am little tired of this sweater, it is probably because of stripes. I am currently preferring solid clothing because I tire of them less often. But will probably have much more pressing things to replace soon.
