I am an hour glass with pear tendencies and my favorite jeans are the AG slim ex boyfriend and the Madewell Cali crop flare. I am more loyal to a cut than a brand.

I'm a bit of a pear, too. My new favorite jeans are the blue black Jen7. The Jag jeans have been comfy for casual wear and the Paige jeans have gotten the most wears of any that I own but I've had them longer.

In addition to Wit & Wisdom, which I recommend along with Gretchen, I really like Ann Taylor jeans. They have a nice stretch but don't lose their shape over time.

I have also had luck with J Crew lately, which is surprising since I'm a curvy size 32 and I thought of them as being for a straighter body. I get my trendier looking jeans from them. They have quality control issues at J Crew overall, but there are still some nice items.

I too am a little heavier in the thighs than the upper body, and I find Old Navy jeans really good on their styling and cut (plus the price is amazing). In fact, I'm heading there this afternoon to try to pick up some demi flare ankle length jeans. I'll let you know what I find!

It's the hardest thing about jeans - finding a cut that works with your individual curves.

For me (defined waist, carrying weight in lower stomach) the best cuts are those that have mid-higher rise and a little stretch.

Favorite brands: Joe's, Pilcro, Wit&Wisdom, NYDJ, and occasional surprises from Loft or WHBM.

I carry a little extra weight in the thighs and hips, and I am now a big fan of the DL1961 Coco jeans (bought two pairs) and the AG Harpers. Also check out the Pilcro line at Anthropologie — those are some of my best-fitting jeans. I also find Lucky Brand Sweet Straight and Lolita fits work well (quite stretchy). I’ve had success with Paige in the past as well. I am nowhere near your size though so can’t speak to sizing reliably — but I did find that I had to size down in DL1961, and Pilcro runs a little roomy too.

It’s so difficult with jeans ! I just received a pair of Everlane skinny jeans. Really fabulous and not very stretchy so they keep their shape and don’t bag out. I am also a fan of Boden denim, the Soho cut.

What are your favorite jeans?

Forgive me if this topic has been discussed in the past...

Background on me: I'm rocking a bit of an hourglass/pear body shape. I find myself always pulling my pants up no matter what size I buy. Jeans with a little stretch are usually better for me.

I'm a pretty active person and stiffer Levi type jeans are not the best for everyday use. I do, however, like the Levi/heels/heeled bootie look for a night out.

Most recently I bought a pair of Joe's jeans size 26. I'm loving them... but I'm not sure they're perfect. I ordered (online) a similar pair of Joe's in a size 26. They didn't fit at all. SO tight. I attribute this to the style and the wash of the denim.

Please share your perfect fit, your absolute favorite jeans. Where and when did you get them? How are they after you wash them? Do you hang them to dry? How long have you had them?

Share your least favorite jeans too! The more info the better.

Do you notice that the fit varies depending on the wash of the denim?

Thank you in advance :)
