I usually spend a big chunk of it wearing the same outfit (backpacking clothes) for weeks at a time, so it takes much longer for the novelty of the rest of my summer garb to wear off. Plus, I love the ease of dress + sandals, or tank top/skirt/sandals. No need to coordinate and keep track of a bazillion layers and accessories! I loved being outside, feeling the sun, the occasional hot hot day. </p> <p>Then came living in Florida, where summer doesn’t go away. Instead of crossing the street to be *in* the sun, I avoided it. Hibernated in AC half the year with summer SAD. It was very confusing for me. </p> <p>Now I love it all. I’m so happy to be in a 4-season climate! My love of summer is back, &amp; I once again enjoy carefree dressing in the sultry dog days of August. Snuggling up in cozy warm fabrics and layers in winter is fun. Springtime gets my pulse racing because you can feel the days getting longer. Fall is glorious, with beautiful light &amp; colors, and I can indulge my newfound love of shorts with tights or just enjoy simple layering. </p> <p>So I guess my favorite season is “change”.
