That's the last cold related movie that I saw. And I liked Cool Runnings, saw that on Christmas a kazillion years ago. Not a Christmas movie but it's about the Jamaican bobsled team, so snow. TBH it's so rare that I watch movies, and they're sci-fi or action movies when I do. A few family favorites that we'll wait to watch when the kids are home is Elf and Muppets' Christmas Carol. DH and I have been watching some Hallmark-type Christmas movies for a few weeks - they are really astonishingly bad! I had no idea :) I enjoy Meet Me in St Louis at Christmas time, maybe not technically a Christmas movie but it does have "Have yourself a merry little Christmas" in it. Also the old cartoons that we used to watch as kids and some oldies like It's a Wonderful Life and The Bishop's Wife. The Year Without a Santa Claus is by far my fave, although I'm more of a Snow Miser gal, myself! My second and third places go to the Bing Crosby Movies, White Christmas and Holiday Inn. And I must respectfully disagree that Die Hard is a Christmas movie. Dh and I have had this argument for YEARS! And A Christmas Story is classic. I still need to see Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas! I hear from so many people that it's great.  So... has anyone else seen "Spirited" yet? We really enjoyed it! It's a musical update of the Scrooge story, and I think it was really well done. Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell. In this household, we're super excited about the Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas Special. It's streaming on Disney+. Our good friends' band (the Old 97s) is the band in the show! The guitar player and my husband have been BFFs since high school. Here's a song from the movie, with the band playing with Kevin Bacon, who gets kidnapped as a Christmas present in the movie. The newer (Oscar nominated) ‘Klaus’ (2019 animated) is sweet, and a little sad, and different - but not too different - from the usual Christmas holiday themed shows.  FWIW, Rotten Tomatoes gives it a rating of 95%.
