I prefer real leather, but I have had a few pair of shoes/boots that were synthetic (just posted about some fabric faux suede flats...). I say if they are mainly a "fashion" item that will get intermittant wear, it can be a fun way to inexpensively try a new style. If you know for sure that you need a boot that can be a real workhorse for you, it's probably better to invest in leather. Cute boots, BTW!

I wish I could, but I cannot wear synth leather shoes. It makes my feet sweat way too much and is very uncomfortable for me. YMMV

I tried these booties on today http://www.dsw.com/shoe/bare+t.....;s%20Shoes and they were quite comfortable and good-looking. Only after trying them on, I decided to check the material - these are all man-made. Just curious - how do people feel about non-leather leather boots and shoes? I think I have one pair of synthetic leather fashion sneakers, and they were very comfortable and lasted for a couple of seasons. But overall I tend to avoid synthetic leather shoes.
