Thanks, Rachylou. I've been thinking about getting leggings instead, but I have no tunic-length tops, so I would be doing the leggings-as-pants thing, which isn't fab! So pants it must be. The stores seem to be full of them right now...I think I just need to keep looking.

I have some faux leather leggings/skinnies. I still have half an eye-out for pants, but nothing has seemed quite right. Faux leather pants come off looking very bulky to my eye. That's just me. Oh and of course, you can't tuck with skinnies.

I like a little bagginess. Not the stocking look, when it comes to skinnies.

Thanks, Inge! No one else chimed in, but your response is enough to let me know that tucking may indeed be possible with faux leather pants. So I'm going to hold out for a lower rise for the time being.

I don't own a pair myself, but love it when they fit a little looser (like in this pin photo). Also loving the idea of faux leather track pants, you can really dress them up to minimize the sporty vibe.
http://www.pinterest.com/pin/18577417184123089/

Hopefully some Fabbers who have (faux) leather pants can chime in.

I am looking for a pair of faux leather pants. Do people normally buy faux leather pants to be tight enough that you can't tuck a top? Some of the pants I see have pretty high rises (to the belly button), and I am so short waisted that I can't tuck when the rise is that high without looking like a clown. But if the pants in order to look right need to be very tight, the issue of the rise might be moot, seeing as the tightness might prohibit tucking anyway.

So, those of you with faux leather pants, are your pants tight enough that you can't tuck?

Also, are faux leather pants meant to stretch like skinnies? How tight should you buy them? I assume they are to stretch some, but I don't know that they would have the expandability of a regular fabric.
