I think the crochet vest or the J. Jill linen or tencel vests will be a lot more comfortable in the hot, sticky Maryland summer than a suede one would be. The suede one would be a good option for our mild Northwest summers though.

I was thinking linen but don't see anything good online.

JJill has some interesting vests on their website (but of course their clothes usually run huge and often look better in the pictures than in real life).

What about a suede one? I have this neutral-colored one that I like to wear in the summer.

I really, really like this 70's inspired outfit formula Angie posted about a while ago:
http://youlookfab.com/2011/01/.....or-spring/

I more-less have all the pieces for a couple of versions of this formula ( no clogs, but I own nice espadrilles that would make a good substitute) other than the vest. It is warm here in MD and summer is going to be quite hot so faux fur is obviously not an option. So, what kind of vest should I look for to achieve a similar vibe? The only thing I can think of is a crochet one, like the one bellow. What do you think about that? I am quite open to other ideas.
