His casual wardrobe includes well-fitting jeans and khakis (nothing pleated or baggy), casual shirts (with a couple of well-fitting polos thrown in because he loves them). He wears oxfords, loafers, and short boots with his clothes since both boys insisted that sneakers were only to be worn to the gym. His summer shorts are a tailored, khaki-colored cargo short that comes to just above the knee. He wears them with a canvas deck-style shoe (socks are not permitted).</p> <p>I think the key elements that the boys have taught their dad is that everything has to fit and accessories like shoes and watches are important to the overall look. They even made him get his jeans hemmed so that the length was exactly right. My husband gets quite a kick out of how seriously both his sons take dressing their father. It's the casual attire that needs work. He likes t-shirts with football logos on them, but he's over forty. I don't want him wearing polo shirts everywhere... so what is the happy medium?
