I think you look like a J Crew catalog pic. So fashionably frumpy. :) I like the bare ankle with the sneakers, socks would kill it, I think.

It is hard to tell with the indoor lighting (I have that problem too)… but the skirt looks very nice to me. Have you tried it with flat, tall boots? (I find my flat riding boots to be a very "commutable" option.) The skirt might also work with some cute flat or wedge booties. If the skirt style, fabrication and/or length is just too awkward for commuting, I would save it for date nights, dinners out, etc. when you will not have to be walking a lot or climbing steps.

OK..I HAD to laugh...I remember wearing ridiculously uncomfortable Western boots that were a size to small because I LOVED those boots. Sigh.

I think that below the knew is better for that skirt.

But if you are that uncomfortable, it is not worth tailoring IMO. : )

That's the third time I'm wearing this ridiculously uncomfortable leather mid-skirt. Yes, it is ridiculously uncomfortable to climb up stairs and get around using the underground when one is wearing a skirt that hits below one's knees: no matter the quality of the leather nor how mild the spring weather (technically it's still winter, but it's 8 degrees outside, my dears: that's spring!) - big steps are out of the question if I'm in this beauty.

Beauty. Yes, I still love it despite all perks in wearing it and can't get enough of it. But in an attempt to ease the commute, I'm leaving the pumps (black and leopard) I've worn so far with this skirt home. Tonight, we're going out with sneakers! Old, trustworthy Bally sneakers!

Please feel free to tell me that I look horrible and should stick to the pumps. Comments on how to improve the look are welcome!

PS: Sorry for bad lightning; I either have a mirror in a badly lit room or no mirror on a well-lit one...
