Got them at Famous Footwear for only $50 as dog-walking shoes but liked them so much I upgraded to "real clothing" and may get another pair. I love the leopard sneaks Carter, but am not crazy about the grey laces.  How about good ole white?  Or black?  And I'd tie them... It kinda fits. These feel very much like just "foot coverings". Maybe better for a beach vacation than everyday life? When I was a teenager in the 70s in Atlanta, espadrilles were the Spring/Summer "dress up" shoe. That would give me pause too, but I rather like the overall shape. Love the grey leopard and believe in slip-ons. As for the last, the Soda's... I keep hearing my neighbor's dad in my head when I see espadrilles... he calls them basket weaver's shoes and is appalled by them. They're up there for him with wearing fuzzy slippers to go places.
