Sitting on my hands not to buy him all the books, maps, puzzles and art supplies in the world. We already have a good stockpile of those.</p> <p>Not being able to drop stuff off at the thrift store donation center has thrown a wrench in my spring cleaning. I had a few bags in the trunk when the stay-at-home order went into effect, and they're still in there. It's probably as old as I am. I placed an order for my favorite underwear, and a couple of no-underwire bras to try. Big sale discounts so I threw in another two hoodies and a pair of pajama pants. </p> <p>I also decided to try the Naturalizers Makayla sneakers in rose gold, as a possible replacement for my old rose gold sneakers that I actually attempted to re-dye last year as they were getting pretty dull looking. They’ve been worn a lot and are looking worse for the wear. I had bought the snake print version of those sneakers back in February and was evaluating them against the much pricier but cuter Vince slip on sneakers. Somehow during this quarantine time, I’ve not been able to really evaluate the Vince shoes very well — one time I’ll put them on and they feel pinchy, and another time they seem fine. The Naturalizers seem comfy no matter what. I guess that gives me my answer, in this time when practicality rules. </p> <p>This is all presuming we will be wearing real shoes at all much this summer.
